In the first quarter of 2017, OMS-SACEDE was awarded with a contract for the maintenance and operation of the municipal water treatment plant in Bescanó, Catalonia. Bescanó is located in the Province of Girona, at the very heart of the Region of Catalonia. Bescanó’s main economic activities are focused around agricultural production, industry and services.

The new contract with the municipality of Bescanó was signed for a running period of four years. Thereafter, the plant could optionally be extended for an additional two years, and until 2023. The contract includes the operation of a Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) and two pumping stations. The WWTP has a total electrical consumption of 266 Mwah/year and produces 329 tonnes of sludge per year.
